Just Start

Welcome!  We’re honoured to have you stop by our little piece of the internet world.  Our beekeeping careers began 9 years ago with these exact words – just start.  We knew so very little about bees or beekeeping and even less about how much work it would take to get honey from the hive into a jar but we just started.  And we’ve repeated these words hundreds of times since.  Our knowledge was limited but our passion was big and as a result we simply rolled up our sleeves and started working. 

Had we waited until we knew everything or had everything in order, we’d have never begun.

We’ve poured our heart and soul into building this beekeeping company, not to mention every dime we had, but we wouldn’t trade it for the world.  Has it been easy?  Absolutely not!  Mistakes have been made, we’d like a few do-overs, and we’ve never worked harder in our lives but we’re doing it and we’re doing it as a family – the 4 of us, side by side, doing every step of the process ourselves.  

“Just start” is being quietly whispered again today as we launch our first blog post.  The invitation is open to join us as we share our beekeeping adventures in this place.  There will be some laughter, some crazy stressed days, some learning, and some realness to what follows.  We hope you enjoy!
